Grading

After an absence, students will have 5 school days to make up missing work.

Summative assessments can be retaken only 1 time, and only after remediation.

Each quarter we will have 2 to 3 summative grades, with 2 to 3 formative assignments per summative assessment.

Grades in Tech Theatre will come from a combination of in-class projects, written and practical exams, and a workshop participation score. The workshop participation score will be calculated using the following rubric:

Workshop Rubric (10 points total)

Categories: Participation, Rules and Safety, Time-management

(4 points) Participation: Student is present and attentive to instruction, participates actively in discussions and/or group work, requires little to no redirection during class

(3 points) Rules and Safety: Student adheres to all classroom policies and procedures, actively ensures safety procedures are followed by peers, completes all clean-up tasks after workshop time

(3 points) Time-management: Student effectively utilizes class time to complete assigned work, begins bell work promptly at the start of class, remains focused on personal work until complete, uses additional time to assist peers
